Floral paint

Downloaded some photoshop brushes and wanted to put them to use. I must have been in a cave all these while, never downloaded any brushes before! A little search I did and found a phletora of beautiful brush creations out there by generous artists and designers. Here’s a word of thanks to Stephanie Shimerdla for sharing the paisley brush set. I came up with two floral fun piece inspired by the batik concept.

Daisy glow

Preparing for house parties can be an elaborate yet busy affair. First, for food preparation, you’ve got the buying, cutting, cooking and lot’s of tasting to get it right. By the time all is done, barely enough time for decorations! Here’s a simple and quick way which saved me time on decor. I had a candle and glass vase at home. Put them together and add some daisies, you get a simple do with a charming glow.

Czech glass Cross

There seems to be a lot of traffic coming to my bead crosses posts. If you are here by accident or you have gotten here by search, I bid you hello :) . I would love to hear from any of you who also bead crosses. I must confess I have not done any crosses thus far…it’s been a busy month. For now, I would just put up a picture of a cross I made using Czech glass beads some time ago. A little rounder, friendlier perhaps than the sharp edged Swarovski bicones.

Digital renovation

This isn’t matte painting but a rough digital composite I have done for my soon to be new home. The original design is somewhat good, it has an interesting base for me to start with. However it does deserve some improvements to make the home modern and have a sophisticated flair. There are many things one can do in terms of renovation to improve this house facade. But as for my renovation proposal, it’s only as much as my money can buy.

Wedding wreath

Last weekend was a lovely one. I attended a garden wedding reception by the beach in Penang. It was a small little gathering yet a truly memorable one. To Siong and Sayaka, congratulations! Of all the beautiful things and moments, this flower wreath got my attention. I love it to bits and it was the first thing I captured of the wedding reception.

It’s a “matte matte” world

So much about digital matte painting these days… I’ve got to be “matte” not to matte paint. It’s indeed a matte matte world…

Wedding memories

They say brides-to-be usually stress themselves out in the preparation of their weddings. So many things from flowers to finding the perfect gown, decorations, arrangement of guests, finances, videos and pictures and yadda yadda yadda. The irony is now a days, the closest family member to the bride will feel the stress too. When my sister was preparing for her wedding, I was probably more stressed than the bride. Ha ha. I had booklet and cards to design, favours to make, a multimedia montage to create…and of course, at the same time, involved in most of the pre-wedding decisions and selection. But it was fun and altogether challenging. After all, a wedding is for a lifetime and I’ve only one sister in this lifetime :) . Looking back, I thought it would be nice to just post the wedding materials here and be reminded of the beautiful day.
